Safety Precautions

Your health and safety are the top priority for us. We have designed our in-person educational experiences, networking and events in new ways to ensure that our community can learn, grow, and be inspired at VMX.


We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely and will follow advice from the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, our partners at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) and Orlando Health to provide a safe and healthy VMX experience.


The following details and guidelines are subject to change based on recommended health and safety policies. The following are as of Jan. 4, 2022.




Each person must also attest to COVID-19 screening questions and adhere to VMX guidelines before attending the event.


All registrants must acknowledge that an attestation to the following four statements will be required during event check-in to participate at VMX 2022 in person.


1 . In the past 5 days, I have not had a COVID-19 diagnosis nor been exposed to COVID-19 OR if I was exposed to COVID-19, I have isolated and tested negative for COVID-19 5 days after exposure OR I have received all recommended vaccine doses against COVID-19.

2 . In the past 5 days, I have not experienced the onset of the primary symptoms/signs of COVID-19:

  • A fever of 100.4 degrees F or higher
  • Feeling feverish
  • New persistent coughing
  • Shortness of breath or breathing difficulties
  • Loss of taste and/or smell

3 . Should I experience any symptoms of COVID1-19 while at VMX, I will refrain from attending VMX in person OR if I know I am exposed to COVID-19 I will follow guidelines for isolation as detailed in point 1.

4 . I will wear a face mask or approved covering over my mouth and nose throughout VMX and at all events.

VMX 2022 attendees will be required to wear a mask in all indoor spaces at VMX, including VMX session and meeting rooms, the Expo Hall and VMX events.

Permitted Masks:

  • Disposable surgical or medical masks
  • Cloth masks with tightly woven fabric (2 or 3 ply masks are recommended)
  • Valve-free respirator masks (N95 or KN95)
  • Fabric masks with a clear plastic window
  • Gaiters with two layers (single layer gaiters should be doubled over) Plastic face shields or goggles may be worn in addition to a mask but are not approved mask replacements
  • If you have any concerns regarding the VMX 2022 mask policy, please contact our customer care team

Masks Not Permitted:

  • Any mask with an exhaust valve
  • Masks with slits, punctures or holes
  • Bandanas, scarves, ski masks, and balaclavas
  • Novel and battery-operated masks that do not meet the specifications of the permitted masks listed above
  • Full-head helmet-type masks may not be used

Although they are not required to attend, the NAVC encourages participants to be vaccinated or to obtain a negative test for COVID-19, prior to attending VMX.
The OCCC has received the GBAC STAR™ Accreditation from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® for its coronavirus cleaning and prevention efforts. The OCCC’s enhanced cleaning and disinfectant procedures adheres to US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) guidance. OCCC staff have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and commonly touched objects such as hand railings and door handles. Attendees will have access to 24/7 medical care through Orlando Health’s Virtual Visit program, which connects guests directly to a physician through their phone, tablet, or computer.
By attending VMX in Orlando, FL, you agree to abide by and engage in the health and safety guidelines outlined. Anyone with symptoms such as fever or symptoms of Illness should not attend, including anyone who has been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19. Should you start to feel unwell while attending VMX:.

    • Do not attend VMX in-person
    • If you start feeling unwell while attending a VMX event or session, please return to your hotel room/place you are staying.
    • Access 24/7 medical care through Orlando Health’s Virtual Visit program. This service connects guests directly to a physician through their phone, tablet, or computer.

COVID Risk Statement

Before you register, please note:


Public health agencies warn some individuals may be at increased risk in public places. Some government health organizations recommend people 65 years and older, those who live in nursing homes or long-term care facilities, and people with underlying medical conditions (particularly if not well controlled) should either remain home or keep their distance from others. We encourage those at increased risk to attend VMX Virtual.


All attendees need to abide by all guidelines and recommendations to ensure their own health and safety and to ensure the health and safety of others.


Even with precautions in place, there is still some risk of exposure to COVID-19. We are committed to keeping you healthy and safe and have taken a number of precautions, including those recommended by applicable health authorities, but we cannot guarantee you won’t be exposed to COVID-19.
