Program Electives

As part of our initiative to build stronger veterinary teams and make our courses more inclusive, some of our VMX Elective courses – Meet the Professor Luncheons and Masterclasses – are open to any attendee type with CE included as part of their registration. Additional fees and pre-registration are required. Elective course descriptions will include their intended audience and skill level, but each registrant is responsible for choosing courses that fit their experience. No refunds will be issued once the courses begin.

Hands-on Workshops
Perfecting today’s specialized procedures takes practice, and you’ll get plenty of that at these hands-on learning sessions. VMX provides a seasoned instructor and all the tools, supplies and space you need. Arrive ready to get to work refining your techniques. Tight on time, but still want to freshen up or learn a new skill? Choose the Hands-on Workshop-ONLY registration when you can’t fit the entire conference into your schedule.
Masterclasses
Even the field’s most respected leaders have had their skills put to the test. Join top practitioners as they share how they managed their most unusual or challenging cases in these 2-hour roundtable sessions. Limited seating is available to allow free-flowing discussions.
Meet The Professor Luncheons
Both enlightening and intimate, this long-standing NAVC tradition lets you break bread, swap stories and share strategies with leading clinicians and like-minded colleagues. In just 90 minutes, you will gain insights and make connections that can enhance your practice for the long run. Limited seating is available.
Behind the Scenes Tours
Arranged exclusively for VMX attendees, Behind the Scenes Tours give you the opportunity to get up close and personal with unfamiliar, non-domesticated species in their natural habitat and provide a glimpse into the inner workings of veterinary care and husbandry at these world-renowned facilities.
