The NAVC Named One of the Top Workplaces in Orlando by Orlando Sentinel
The North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) was honored with a Top Workplaces 2019 Award from the Orlando Sentinel today. The NAVC also received the Special Award for Work/Life Flexibility. This marks the third year in a row the NAVC has been named one of the best places to work by the Orlando Sentinel.
The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.
“It is an honor to receive this recognition from the Orlando Sentinel. It is especially gratifying knowing it is based on our employees’ experience and feelings about working at the NAVC,” said NAVC CEO Tom Bohn, CAE, MBA. “The NAVC is a special place to work. We are driven by our commitment and passion to supporting the veterinary community worldwide and improving the health and well-being of animals everywhere. This is reflected in our culture and everything we do. I am so proud and appreciative of our employees and the world-class work they deliver every day on behalf of our community.”
“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”
“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
The NAVC has also been named one of Florida’s Best Companies to Work For by Florida Trend magazine. The NAVC’s commitment to innovation and excellence is reflected in its robust roster of awards. This summer alone, the NAVC received 20 Charlie Awards in July from the Florida Magazine Association in recognition of its Excellence in Media; in June, the NAVC’s VMX Meeting & Expo received the Fastest 50 award and recognition as “One of the Elite Events of 2018.”
