VMX Recognized as One of the Elite Events of 2018
NAVC Named to the Trade Show Executive Fastest 50 Which Annually Recognizes the Fastest Growing Trade Shows
The North American Veterinary Community (NAVC)’s Veterinary Meeting & Expo (VMX) has been named to the Trade Show Executive Fastest 50 which annually recognizes the fastest growing trade shows with the industry’s highest growth rates for the previous year.
VMX, the world’s largest animal health conference, was recognized for its extraordinary 31 percent increase in trade show net square exhibit space and 11 percent increase in the number of exhibiting companies in 2018.
Entering its 37th year, the annual VMX event is dedicated to education, innovation and networking. It brings together veterinarians and veterinary professionals from around the world, leading companies in the animal healthcare industry and other members of the veterinary community for five days at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
“2018 was an incredible year for NAVC’s VMX, with a record number of 17,838 attendees from more than 80 countries and 700-plus exhibiting companies,” said NAVC CEO Tom Bohn, CAE, MBA. “The NAVC is dedicated to supporting the global veterinary healthcare community and providing the best healthcare possible to animals everywhere. Through VMX, we provide continuing education, professional development and networking to help our veterinarians and veterinary professionals succeed. I am so proud of the work our exhibit sales and operations team have done to expand our reach and impact.”
Manolita Moore, NAVC vice president of exhibit sales and operations, received the award on behalf of the NAVC at the Trade Show Executive Fastest 50 Awards & Summit at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City in Atlantic City, NJ on June 19th. She was joined by NAVC CEO Thomas M. Bohn, MBA, CAE, Daniel S. Valha, NAVC senior vice president of events and exhibits, and Mara Sacacas, exhibit sales manager.
“VMX and the many other trade shows we honor tonight are the elite events of 2018,” said Danica O’Donnell Tormohlen, Editor-At-Large, TSE. “Achieving this type of growth is a true mark of excellence.”

About the Fastest 50
The Trade Show Executive Fastest 50 annually singles out the trade shows held in the United States that have excelled in generating percentage growth in three key metrics: Amount of net square feet of paid exhibit space; number of exhibiting companies at the show; and the size of the crowd attending the show. The 50 shows in each metric with the highest percentage of growth earn the right to be called a “Fastest 50 Show.” Exhibitions of all sizes and industry sectors are eligible, and shows can make the grade in any or all of the three metric categories. Honorees are selected based on show metrics submitted to Trade Show Executive by show management. The Fastest 50 Class of 2018 is based on the percentage of growth of the show held in 2018 compared to the metrics of the most recent previous show.
