Local Dog Lovers Join in the World’s Largest Pet Walk 2023 to Raise Money to Benefit Therapy Animal Teams
ORLANDO, FL – September 18, 2023 – Employees with the Orlando-based North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) and their dogs, in collaboration with national non-profit Pet Partners, participated in the Worlds’ Largest Pet Walk this morning at Cypress Grove Park, helping to raise money for therapy animals nationwide. This heartwarming fundraising event supports Pet Partners’ Therapy Animal Program which brings unconditional love, happiness, and healing to millions of seniors, patients, veterans, and children in need. The global initiative aims to promote responsible pet ownership and improve the well-being of both pets and their owners. The event will continue through September 23, 2023 and to date has raised over $81,000 globally.

“We care very deeply about the human-animal bond and that is also something that the Pet Partners organization really supports through the therapy work that they do,”says Laura Walker, CAE, NAVC Chief Media & Sales Officer and Pet Partners Board member. “We have a dog friendly office so we bring our dogs to work all the time so this was a great opportunity for us to get together for a little exercise before we start our work day and support a great cause at the same time.”
