As the Vice President of Media Strategy, Patricia Wuest oversees the creation and implementation of a trustworthy, innovative and creative editorial content strategy that encompasses all of the NAVC Media Group’s channels — print, online, email, video and social media. Her role includes oversight of the publishing of Today’s Veterinary Business, Today’s Veterinary Nurse, Today’s Veterinary Practice and Veterinary Advantage, the official journals of the NAVC, as well as the Spark! online video and podcast channel. She also works closely with the Media Sales team in creating integrated marketing programs. She is responsible for digital audience growth and strategy for NAVC Media. She is involved in the NAVC’s database management initiative, particularly as it relates to strengthening and advancing NAVC Media’s marketing strategy.
Wuest joined the NAVC as Editorial Director in October 2018, and was named to her current role in March 2020. Prior to joining the NAVC, she served in various editorial capacities at Bonnier Corporation, including brand director and editor-in-chief of Scuba Diving, Sport Diver, World’s Best Diving & Resorts, and ScubaLab Gear Guide magazines. Before Scuba Diving was purchased by Bonnier in 2008, Wuest held several editorial roles with the magazine over a 17-year period, including managing editor, for the previous owners. She began her career in magazine journalism as an assistant editor on two insurance industry trade publications.
Wuest earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Journalism from the College of New Jersey (then known as Trenton State College). She currently resides in Maitland, Florida, with her husband, Tom, and Lily, their spoiled and beautiful cat, a lynx point Siamese and Snowshoe mix.
