Position Objective
The ideal candidate is an expert event marketing strategist, event lover and metrics junkie who is always asking, "How can we do this better? How can we be more effective?” They want to be part of a fun, interactive environment and are passionate about the role marketing and communications play in NAVC’s success, and the success of its events brands.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Special Events Marketing, the NAVC Marketing Coordinator will support multiple extensive, multi-channel marketing plans which for highly focused, niche B2B events which include attendee and sponsor marketing projects such as: print and web ads, direct mail pieces, email campaigns, web content, sales and sponsorships collateral, special events projects and social media strategizing. The role will work closely with the event teams to ensure deliverables are completed on deadline and within brand guidelines, reflecting the right tone of voice and messaging.
Position Responsibilities
Support NAVC marketing planning, development and execution
Contribute to strategic planning documents (including content briefs, campaign plans, marketing budgets and strategy plans) with Senior Manager, Special Events
Understand the brand and market position, serving as the brand champion for your events
Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing communications and communicate strategic messages appropriately and effectively among target audiences
Collaborate with various NAVC marketing staff (i.e. vice president, creative design, senior director of communications, digital marketing director, etc.) to facilitate projects through the workflow process
Manage and effectively interact with multiple event and NAVC team contacts; work independently to complete projects; understand how to use resources to deliver results
Work with internal and external marketing teams to deliver the brand message and deliverables to market
Assist with other assignments as needed to support overall NAVC marketing strategy
Assess and report on the performance of our marketing efforts using analytic and tracking tools; suggest and implement strategies to improve performance
Utilize database marketing tactics, marketing analytics and available research insights; apply these skills to adjust and optimize campaigns for increased customer engagement
Lead and implement new marketing initiatives across teams
Proactively keep Senior Manager, Special Events informed of project status and deliverables
As needed, attend NAVC-owned and/or related offsite events to assist in event-specific marketing efforts
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or related field
A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in agency, B2B marketing or similar marketing role, B2B event marketing a plus
Experience working with various ESP platforms (Omeda) and builders (BeePro, Litmus)
Strong written and verbal communications skills, with strong attention to detail
Superb people skills with a proven ability to interact with colleagues in cross-functional teams
Excellent organizational skills and management skills, including a demonstrated ability to efficiently plan, organize and manage projects with limited direct supervision
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously, delivering on time
Track record of taking initiative and driving projects through to completion
Mature, detail-oriented, able to work well under tight deadlines and work independently, collaboratively and with a team, solving problems in a resourceful manner
Independent and creative thinker who can bring new ideas and perspectives to existing clients and/or products
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs of the organization
Excellent knowledge of Adobe products, Canva, WordPress, MS Office and Google Applications
Creativity and the ability to develop original content focused on customer engagement
Strong ability to use resources to deliver results

Environmental Position Requirements
Ability to travel 3-4 times per year
Position can be based in NAVC’s Orlando, FL or the ability to be remote, based on manager approval
