Mason Moore is a marketing and communications professional with more than 18 years experience creating and implementing award-winning programs for brands from a wide variety of industries.
He has a diverse background with experience in both agency and corporate marketing and brings expertise in strategic planning, marketing, advertising, event planning, promotions, media relations, community relations, social media management and crisis communications to NAVC.
Most recently, Moore spent nearly ten years with leading marketing and communications agency &Barr (formerly Fry Hammond Barr). During his tenure with the agency, he held multiple leadership positions including Vice President, Client Services and Vice President, Public Relations and Social Influence. Among his many achievements and awards won with &Barr, highlights include leading the development and implementation of strategies for the openings of the Nemours Children’s Hospital (Orlando, Fla.) and the $450 million expansion of The Peabody Orlando Hotel (now Hyatt Regency Orlando).
He has previously held similar roles with Yesawich, Pepperdine, Brown & Russell (now MMGY Global), Kenton Smith Advertising & Public Relations and Huntington National Banks.
Throughout his professional career, Moore has also held positions with and provided strategic consultation to a wide variety of groups and organizations. He served on the Board of Directors of the Orlando Regional Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America from 2006 to 2011. His tenure was highlighted by a term as President in 2010 when the chapter experienced record membership growth. Other board/committee leadership experience includes positions with Orlando Tech Association, Special Olympics Florida, American Association of Advertising Agencies and many more.
Moore has served as a consultant regarding a variety of strategic marketing and communications initiatives with emphasis on strategic plan development and brand audits for a number of non-profit and healthcare organizations.
Moore earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fla. He’s currently a member of the Testicular Cancer Foundation National Speakers Bureau. He’s also volunteered and raised funds for the LIVESTRONG Foundation. In 2007, Moore was selected to join Lance Armstrong and a national group of advocates in Washington D.C. to encourage elected officials to support increased funding for the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Mason resides in Oviedo, Fla. with his wife, Carmen, daughter, Marley and three rescue cats, Junior, Scout and Tiger.
